Dropoff Announces New Leadership Team Members Ahead of Promising 2019
Neil Seth appointed Dropoff Chief Technology Officer; Rey Madolora appointed Dropoff Chief Financial Officer
AUSTIN, Texas, Dec. 04, 2018 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Dropoff today announced two critical additions to the executive leadership team. These appointments will drive ongoing growth for the company, further solidifying its position as a leading last mile delivery service and logistics partner for businesses.
Neil Seth will fill the position of Chief Technology Officer, driving Dropoff's technology strategy and vision while managing both the engineering and product functions of the business. Both will be based in Austin, TX at the company's headquarters and will report to the CEO, Sean Spector. Rey Madolora will take on the newly created role of Chief Financial Officer, responsible for providing expert financial analysis and driving strategic business initiatives — from fundraising to change management and business transactions.
Prior to joining Dropoff, Seth was the Chief Technology Officer at GameFly, Inc, where he built in-house technology and product teams from the ground up. He also oversaw the digital evolution of the business from video games by mail to cloud-based game streaming. Spector and Seth worked together for eleven years at GameFly, which Spector co-founded in 2002.
Madolora is uniquely qualified for this role, having raised over $155M in capital throughout his career, including raising the largest seed-round-to-date in Texas while on the founding team at Hangar Technology. Prior to that, he was the CFO/COO of DJI North America, the world's leading and largest manufacturer of drone hardware. In his time there, he helped the North American subsidiary scale to $300M in annual revenue in just over a year.
Both appointments support Dropoff's strategic priorities and commitment to innovation. This announcement comes on the heels of several new market launches. In the last quarter, Dropoff's same-day delivery service became available in San Francisco, Seattle, and Oklahoma City, bringing the company's footprint to 20 markets nationwide.
"We are moving quickly to structure our business for accelerated growth leading into the new year and are on track to be profitable in 2019. These additions round out the management team and ensure we can respond to the rapidly changing needs of our customers and keep up with the pace of change in the industry," said Sean Spector, CEO of Dropoff. "Each of the leaders named today is highly qualified and understands what's needed to scale our business and continue to deliver best in class last mile services to businesses across the country."
