Dutch Wonderland to Open Daily Starting Memorial Day Weekend
Daily summer operation, Duke's Lagoon, special events, and more to begin this weekend.
LANCASTER, Pa., May 23, 2019 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Dutch Wonderland Family Amusement Park will open the castle doors daily beginning Memorial Day Weekend! The holiday also marks the opening of Duke's Lagoon water play area where, new this year, Duke the dragon takes the helm of a new pirate ship centerpiece and a friendly octopus makes his home atop a new slide that's just right for the youngest park guests.
On Memorial Day, May 27, Dutch Wonderland will offer free one-day admission to active and retired military personnel and veterans. Complimentary tickets will be available at any ticket booth with a valid military ID. Throughout the summer season, military members also receive an exclusive savings of $10 off daily tickets either online or at the Park gate.
In addition to more than 35 rides, attractions and shows, the summer brings several special events to the Park. For the second year in a row, Dutch Wonderland will host the Nathan's Famous hot dog eating contest regional qualifier on June 2, with the winners competing at the Coney Island classic on Independence Day. A few weeks later, park mascot Duke will celebrate his birthday on June 20 and 21 with special parties, games, and treats. Additionally, season passholders will enjoy exclusive access to the Park one hour prior to opening on select dates throughout the summer.
