After nearly three years of waiting, SailGP is finally returning to American shores in a big way as eight identical, flying F50's battle for the right to compete in the final race of SailGP Season 2, the Grand Final, where a $1 million champion will be crowned.
Fighting to compete in that final race will be hometown favorites the United States SailGP Team, led by two-time America's Cup winner Jimmy Spithill. The U.S. team currently sits in second place in the overall standings just one point out of the top spot.
