Initiative will provide hands-on cybersecurity training and access to a Digital Achievement Wallet to enhance career readiness
CHENEY, Wash, Feb. 25, 2025 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Eastern Washington University's (EWU) Professional and Continuing Education (PCE) unit has partnered with iQ4 Corporation, a pioneer in AI-driven learning and employment solutions, to launch new programs aimed at equipping military veterans and therapeutic recreation students with cutting-edge digital learning tools.
Through this collaboration, EWU PCE and iQ4 will offer military and veteran students, along with high school Junior Reserve Officers' Training Corps (JROTC) and EWU Reserve Officers' Training Corps (ROTC) students, access to a 12-week cybersecurity training program, called Service2Cyber. The program will provide hands-on experience, industry mentorship, and career opportunities in a much-needed industry.
Additionally, EWU's Therapeutic Recreation program will provide 45-50 students with an iQ4 Digital Achievement Wallet, a credentialing tool that recognizes skills, organizes achievements, and enhances career readiness. The Digital Achievement Wallet allows students to securely showcase their competencies to potential employers and share verified credentials with career services, social media platforms, and industry professionals.
"The partnership between iQ4 and the Eastern Washington University community provides students and veterans with an excellent opportunity to connect to industry-recognized cybersecurity training, as well as become part of the national movement toward implementing learning and employment records through their Digital Achievement Wallet," said Dr. Christi Harter, EWU Assistant Vice President Professional and Continuing Education. "This exciting news supports EWU's evolving credit mobility model which will provide learners multiple pathways to earn credentials and degrees that increase their gainful employment opportunities."
iQ4 is expanding its solutions to tackle critical workforce challenges, with a strong focus on supporting transitioning military personnel and veterans. This initiative empowers them to seamlessly translate their experience into civilian skills, career pathways, and job opportunities. By aligning the right skills with the right talent, iQ4 is enhancing long-term employability through work-based learning.
