SANTA MONICA, Calif., August 2, 2021 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Edward Thomas Collection of Hotels (ETC), the independent owners and operators of Southern California's two most iconic oceanfront hotels, Shutters on the Beach and Hotel Casa del Mar announced today a partnership with local nonprofit organization Chrysalis. The luxury properties have teamed up with Chrysalis to create a kite to celebrate summertime and the organization's mission of helping people work and thrive. Operating five centers and locations across Southern California, including a Santa Monica center, Chrysalis helps individuals who face barriers to the workforce find and retain employment.
"As long-time hiring partners with Chrysalis, we are thrilled to have the opportunity to raise money for the organization and support the tremendous work they are doing across Southern California," said Charlie Lopez-Quintana, Vice President and Managing Director, ETC. "We hope that our hotel guests and Santa Monica locals can support Chrysalis by purchasing a kite this summer."
The kites, designed with the Chrysalis butterfly logo, are for sale for $25 at The Cottage Shop inside of Shutters on the Beach and the hotel's Beach Activities Center, located off the boardwalk. All proceeds will be donated to support Chrysalis' employment-focused services, raising money and awareness for the great things they do to create job skills and opportunities.
"Working with local businesses is incredibly important to Chrysalis and we are thrilled to grow our partnership with Shutters on the Beach and Hotel Casa del Mar through this one-of-a-kind kite launch," said Joan Kramer, Board of Directors Chair with Chrysalis. "When we engage with our neighbors, our community really does become stronger and maybe getting outside and flying a kite will help you meet someone who changes your life!"
