Electric Bike Technologies Eyes the Mobility Scooter Market with Their New Electric Adult Tricycle, Successfully Crowdfunded on Indiegogo and Now Heading to Kickstarter
Croydon, PA (PRWEB) November 07, 2015 -- Electric Bike Technologies, the creators of the E-BikeKit and E-TrikeKit retrofit electric bike conversion systems, is going for a second round of crowdfunding on Kickstarter starting Tuesday November 10th, 2015.
The company ended a successful crowdfunding campaign on Indiegogo just weeks ago raising $73,371 dollars.
This time the "goal" is limited to just 50 of these mighty mini mobility trikes. Company reps say that crowdfunding is a great way to launch a new product, even for an existing business. "The benefits go both ways as the market for the product is tested and the backers reap huge saving for what is essentially a pre-order."
The Liberty Electric Tricycle is a one-of-a-kind adult tricycle that's fun for all but was designed specifically with aging baby boomers and seniors in mind.
Jason Kraft, the company founder, says, "Mobility scooters have their place and some people definitely need that level of assistance but that's not the Liberty Trike. The Liberty Trike is designed for people that want or need some assistance but have a strong desire to be more active. The people we've talked with over the years, converting their own tricycles with our conversion kits, want a more dignified and more active alternative to the conventional mobility scooter."
Backers of the latest campaign can expect delivery in april of 2016, just in time to enjoy riding for the Summer. Full price retail sales direct to interested buyers via the company's website is scheduled to immediately follow the delivery of the crowdfunded trikes.
