Employment Technologies Corporation Announced as William C. Schwartz Industry Innovation Award Winner
Winter Park, FL, USA (PRWEB) August 28, 2013 -- Employment Technologies Corporation (ETC) will be honored by the Metro Orlando Economic Development Commission (EDC) at the William C. Schwartz Industry Innovation Awards luncheon held on September 26th. The EDC selects one company from each area they serve - Orange, Seminole and Lake Counties, the City of Orlando and the Florida High Tech Corridor Council – and recognizes them for their innovative practices and exceptional impact on the region.
ETC, known for their innovative employment simulations, didn’t just create a product; they transformed an industry. A pioneer in simulation-based employment testing, Joseph Sefcik, Jr., founded ETC in 1995. Under his leadership, ETC revolutionized the hiring process for companies worldwide by replacing traditional text-based employment tests with highly realistic, interactive simulations. Global companies trust ETC to develop and deploy innovations which significantly impact HR time, training, and turnover. Their cost-saving technologies make a direct impact on a company’s overall productivity and bottom line.
Community service plays an important role in ETC’s corporate culture. ETC’s co-founder and CEO, Eugenia Sefcik, founded a local community outreach program which sponsors at-risk inner city Orlando youth to attend the life-changing camp, Kids Across America. Since its inception in 2005, the outreach program has provided more than 250 teen scholarships. Additionally, ETC has donated more than $100,000 to educational and charitable organizations. The company also offers their simulation expertise and financial support to a number of non-profit organizations that help the chronically underemployed to learn workplace readiness skills.
“The Metro Orlando EDC is a driving force in helping foster, develop and sustain Central Florida’s prosperity,” explains Joe Sefcik. “We are pleased that such an esteemed organization selected ETC for this respected honor.”
The William C. Schwartz Industry Innovation Award was named in tribute to the late William C. Schwartz, a Central Florida community leader and innovator in the field of optics and photonics. The event will be held at Full Sail LIVE from 11:00am – 1:30pm.
