WGC Vancouver is Committed to Community Engagement:
The Vancouver Chapter exemplifies Women of Global Change's dedication to community service through active volunteering with the Collingwood Community Policing Center. One of the events that WGC Vancouver participated in was the heartwarming "Movie Night in the Park" program, organized by Partap Sahota, the Executive Director at the Collingwood Community Policing Center.
During the delightful "Movie Night in the Park" event, children from the community gathered with their families and friends for a special screening of the movie "Epic" while kids won prizes after spinning a wheel and answering safety-related questions.
On Canada Day, July 1, 2023, the Vancouver Chapter supported Oliver Samonte from Junkology during the Canada Day Celebrations at Westminster Pier Park, City of New Westminster. Junkology specializes in teaching children and adults how to use recycled items to create toys, animals, planters, and fun objects, promoting sustainability and creativity.
