Enduvo Awarded Prestigious, Exclusive AFWERX TACFI Contract
Deal Strengthens Commitment, Partnership Between Enduvo and the U.S. Air Force
CHICAGO, Aug. 3, 2022 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Enduvo, an intuitive, immersive content authoring and distribution platform, has been granted a Tactical Funding Increase (TACFI) contract from the U.S. Air Force (USAF). The award from AFWERX, the innovation arm of the USAF, is extremely competitive and highly coveted by technical startups and small businesses.
TACFI is a part of the U.S. Air Force SBIR/STTR Supplemental Funding Pilot Program and awards contracts to companies that meet the pressing needs of the USAF. TACFI requires public and private matching funds as well as adhering to a strict list of criteria. Enduvo was one of only 92 TACFI recipients and received the maximum contract amount of $1.7M.
Enduvo's virtual training platform will help the USAF train its pilots, maintainers, and medical personnel in a more productive and engaging manner.
"We thank the Air Force and AFWERX for this great opportunity to advance their training objectives. This affirms their deepening commitment to our company and platform and their desire to deploy us across their entire operations," Enduvo CEO Steve Garrou said.
Enduvo has been granted the opportunity to begin the Authority To Operate (ATO) process, a critical security vetting. This will permit the USAF to use its software and integrate it into various systems. Additionally, the award will allow for the development of significant functionality including enhanced creative features for instructors, expanded assessments, and integrated support for people with learning disabilities.
Enduvo was recently awarded a Phase III SBIR contract with the USAF after successfully demonstrating its immersive digital classroom. This TACFI contract extends the capability to an enterprise-wide platform.
"We are extremely pleased to be a part of this important partnership, which demonstrates that public and private investment can work together to create technology that changes the world," stated Dana Wright, Enduvo board member and managing director of MATH, a venture capital firm providing the matching funds.
