Engineering Exam Prep Company Shakes Industry, Publishes First Ever Professional Engineering Book with Augmented Reality Features
After gaining 15 years of experience in preparing people for the Professional Engineering exams School of PE has released their first PE Civil Exam Review Guide: Breadth book.
DUBLIN, Ohio, Jan. 8, 2020 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- School of PE has recently made revolutionary strides in the engineering exam prep industry by publishing a book with an added technological twist. The book, PE Civil Exam Review Guide: Breath, is the first book offered in the industry published to coincide with Artificial Reality (AR) technology.
Since 2004, School of PE has provided valuable educational experiences to help engineers obtain professional licenses. From the FE exam and beyond, School of PE prides itself in helping engineers along every step to obtain and maintain their licenses.
Now, with a newly published book, School of PE offers a broader spectrum of studying tools to those who are preparing for the PE Civil exam. The book can be used in correspondence to School of PE's PE Civil exam review course, or can be purchased separately.
The PE Civil exam is divided into two sections: the Breadth and Depth. The first section of the exam, the Breadth, is consistent for all exam-takers. From there, examinees are able to choose what Depth exam to take. The National Council of Examiners for Engineering and Surveying (NCEES) provides five different depth options: Construction, Geotechnical, Structural, Transportation, and Water Resources & Environmental.
Although the book only covers the breadth portion of the PE Civil exam, School of PE is currently working on developing books for the Depth sections.
"Our goal in developing this book was to provide our students the information they need to pass their breadth exam," Angela Pugh, Senior Editorial Manager at School of PE, said. "To help achieve that goal, we had many of our PE Civil exam review course instructors create the content."
Pugh explained that having School of PE's PE Civil instructors write the book's content is a big selling point. This is because the instructors have taken and passed the PE Civil exam themselves- therefore proving they have a deep understanding of the exam itself.
The main selling point, however, is the book's AR features.
With just a smartphone and an app, those who purchase the book can access many features such as virtual quizzes, flashcards, and animations to make studying much more enjoyable and engaging.
According to Pugh, this book is the first of many the company plans to publish. She stated that they are planning on releasing several additional books in 2020.
"This book really helps us stand out as a market leader in the engineering exam prep industry," Pugh said. "We've got everything students need to succeed. Review courses, great instructors, and now an informative and engaging book. I can't wait to see the strides we'll make in 2020."
