Etix Allies with Uber to Offer Complimentary Rides to Ticket Buyers
Raleigh, NC (PRWEB) June 25, 2014 -- Etix, the largest independent ticketing provider in North America, and Uber, the world’s leading technology app that connects riders and drivers at the touch of a button, announced an alliance Wednesday to provide event-goers across the U.S with free rides at no cost to participating venues.
“Etix has always provided top-to-bottom ticketing and marketing solutions for venues with a clear eye towards fans,” said Joe Kustelski, Etix CEO. “Uber is a game-changing company, and we’re excited to bring the benefits of this partnership to our clients. Offering a safe and reliable trip to or from an event is a huge win for the fan and the venue.”
Concert attendees who purchase event tickets at many of Etix’s 4,100 entertainment properties will be offered up to $20 off their first Uber ride.
“We’re thrilled about Etix’s partnership with Uber,” said Billy Hardison, Managing Partner of Headliners Music Hall and Etix client. “In the short time that we’ve piloted this offer to our fans, we’ve already experienced positive results. The ability to give our ticket buyers the added value of a safe, reliable ride home with Uber is a huge differentiator for us.”
“Data indicates that elevating the guest experience boosts buyer loyalty. This partnership will increase revenue and ticket sales for participating venues, and most importantly, provide a more responsible fan experience,” said Brian Bauer, Director at Rockhouse Partners, Etix’s digital marketing agency.
This program has already seen early success at several of Etix’s flagship clients, including North Carolina’s Booth Amphitheatre, Arizona’s Lucky Man concert promoters, Michigan’s Blind Pig, and famed Kentucky music hall Headliners. In addition to making this program available to all Etix clients, future plans include offering select Etix ticket pre-sales exclusively to Uber users.
