ALISO VIEJO, Calif., Sept. 16, 2020 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- ExsoMed Corporation, a privately held U.S.-based medical device company providing orthopaedic surgeons with innovative solutions in hand surgery, announced that the first 25 INnate Intramedullary Threaded Nail cases for treatment of metacarpal fractures have been successfully completed in Israel.
INnate is an intramedullary threaded nail designed specifically for rapid and minimally invasive fixation of metacarpal fractures. The robust length offering with innovative dual crest height design provides optimal fit within the intramedullary canal to create stable fixation and precise reduction. INnate is the only non-compression option, constructed to avoid shortening of oblique and comminuted fractures, while providing simple fracture stabilization in minutes. All instrumentation is sterile-packed and single-use, for stream-lined use in the operating room.
"INnate offers very effective and efficient fixation for metacarpal fractures, saving very valuable OR time," said Dr. Benjamin Kiesh of Herzliya Medical Center in Herzliya, Israel. "My patients are surprised at how soon they can activate their hand immediately after surgery, with hardly any pain."
Based in Tel Aviv, Gad Medical is ExsoMed's exclusive distribution partner for the Israeli market. Founded in 2013 by local medical device executives formerly with Johnson & Johnson orthopaedic subsidiaries DePuy and DePuy Synthes, the organization has grown by more than 50% each year, representing some of the world's most cutting-edge technologies and treatments in healthcare.
