Fashion Group International Presents Fifth Annual Meet The Designer & The Muse
Los Angeles, CA (PRWEB) October 03, 2013 -- Halston and Bianca Jagger, Givenchy and Audrey Hepburn, Marc Jacobs and Sofia Coppola, Alexander McQueen and Isabella Blow, the designer-muse relationship has long been a driving creative force in the fashion industry.
Fashion Group International® of Los Angeles (FGILA) continues to foster and honor this special relationship with the fifth annual “Meet The Designer and The Muse” event taking place Wednesday, October 23, 2013, at Mr. C Hotel, 1224 Beverly Hills, Los Angeles, CA 90035. The event is hosted by noted fashion designer, entrepreneur and philanthropist Kathy Hilton, whose Kathy Hilton Collection of ready-to-wear attire launched in the spring of 2012.
Los Angeles' top designers will walk the red carpet arm-in-arm with their celebrity or model muse, dressed in their designs, to celebrate these unique artistic associations. Richard Hallmarq, who was a featured designer on Project Runway's Season 11, will host the red carpet festivities.
Kathy Hilton has chosen actress Edy Ganem as her muse. Ganem plays “Valentina Diaz” in Lifetime’s new hit show, “Devious Maids,” executive produced by Eva Longoria and “Desperate Housewives” alum Marc Cherry.
Leanna Lewis, Regional Director of FGILA, states, “Fashion Group International (FGI) has a history of producing high-profile events that honor innovation and creativity in the fields of design. The New York chapter's Night of Stars, hosted by Simon Doonan, will be held at Cipriani the night before Designer & The Muse. These two back to back events, on both coasts, at venues owned by the famed family of hospitality, the Ciprianis, provide solidarity in the pursuit of style.”
Neil A. Greene, President of JABOY Productions will co-produce the Designer & Muse event with his primary role evolving around branding and sponsorship opportunities.
Tickets for Designer & The Muse are available at two different levels. Design Circle tickets are $100.00, with access to the red carpet and a VIP champagne reception preceding the general event. Fashion Circle tickets to the general event are available for $50.00. A portion of the proceeds will contribute funds for The Designer & The Muse scholarship. The FGILA Foundation provides this scholarship.
