In her position consulting with Kroger, Ann Beaty has been leading a passion project related to targeting and capitalizing on the vegetarian/vegan customer at Kroger and using consumer data and industry trends to meet the needs of the growing number of plant-based customers at America's largest grocer. She is responsible for developing the most effective use of brick and mortar retail space, analyzing consumer data to arrive at meaningful insights that shape future strategy and developing creative data-driven solutions to urgent business problems.

With 20 years of experience in food and beverage law and policy she has written extensively about food politics, litigation, and a wide range of food and beverage advocacy efforts that impact our choices. To better support food companies doing the right thing, in 2015 she founded the Plant Based Foods Association, a trade group representing the nation's leading plant-based food companies and offers legal advice on federal regulatory compliance for labeling and marketing, among other services.
