NEW YORK, Aug. 18, 2021 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Inc. magazine revealed that Powur PBC, the fastest-growing national residential solar company, is No. 61 on its annual Inc. 5000 list. This ranking is the most prestigious recognition for the nation's fastest-growing private companies.
Powur joins names such as Microsoft, Under Armour, and Intuit, who first gained national exposure as honorees on the Inc. 5000.
Powur is executing it's plan to become the largest global decentralized utility, providing society with essential sustainable products and services at breakthrough costs. To achieve this goal, Powur is building the largest clean energy salesforce in the world.
To drive the company's mission to accelerate the adoption of clean energy, Powur has developed the industry's first cloud-based platform to support the low cost, efficient delivery of solar energy to homeowners.
"Powur's ranking on the Inc 5000 list for 2021 is a pure testament to the amazing community we have created, the leaders who build this company every day, and the differentiation of our cloud-based model for the solar energy industry", said Jonathan Budd, Powur's founder and CEO. "We are the fastest growing residential solar company in America, and the exciting part is that we have barely begun. Our focus is simple: continue to innovate and provide more value to our community of stakeholders than any solar company in history."
Not only have the companies on the 2021 Inc. 5000 been very competitive within their markets, but this year's list also proved especially resilient and flexible given 2020's unprecedented challenges. Among the Inc. 5000, the average median three-year growth rate soared to 543%, and median revenue reached $11.1 million. Together, those companies added more than 610,000 jobs over the past three years.
On its own part, Powur PBC had 10x this median revenue growth and grew over 1,000 percent from 2020 to 2021. Powur is projected to double again in 2021.
"The 2021 Inc. 5000 list feels like one of the most important rosters of companies ever compiled," says Scott Omelianuk, editor-in-chief of Inc. "Building one of the fastest-growing companies in America in any year is a remarkable achievement. Building one in the crisis we've lived through is just plain amazing. This kind of accomplishment comes with hard work, smart pivots, great leadership, and the help of a whole lot of people."
