QUEBEC, Nov. 10, 2022 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Fourwaves is proud to launch its innovative Live App, now available on mobile devices and desktops primarily for the United States and Canadian markets but available worldwide in English and French.
"With the rise of hybrid and virtual conference formats, there is an opportunity to bring participants from all around the world together. The new Live App makes participants feel they are part of the event wherever they are in the world and helps them connect with each other."
- Matthieu Chartier, PhD. President
Live App for hybrid and virtual academic events
The new app makes hybrid and virtual events more enjoyable and engaging. The lobby gives an overview of all the activities taking place. Participants can see live sessions and which participants are online. The global event chat and a personalized activity feed encourage attendees to interact with each other, decreasing virtual event fatigue.
Poster sessions are an important aspect of academic conferences. The app contains the most advanced virtual poster session experience that's easy for participants and organizers to use.
Presenters know when someone is visiting their poster in real-time and can interact with viewers in live chat or integrated video. Poster session participants can easily swipe through posters in full-screen including their supplementary material (figures, slides, video). They hear any ongoing conversation on the poster and can join the discussion with one click. A laser pointer offers a frictionless presentation experience so participants can focus on presenting their research and spark collaborations.
"Networking is one of the most important elements of academic events. We wanted to make an app that allows and enhances networking opportunities regardless of the event format."
- Matthieu Chartier, PhD. President
1:1 video conversations and messaging allow participants to connect in private. A networking lounge also allows participants to create public conversation rooms with specific topics to expand their knowledge.
Exhibitors have their own networking booths to showcase their products and services and connect with participants to reach new customers.
Enhance in-person events with Fourwaves' Live App
For in-person events, the Live App allows participants to browse the schedule and sessions and access presentation materials, including posters, slides, and videos.
For organizers, name tags and poster board tags can be easily exported and printed. QR codes are automatically generated to see the poster details and quickly send a message to the presenter. Judges can also easily evaluate posters on-site.
