Fox Blocks Takes Home 9 Awards at the 2019 ICF Builder Awards
The World of Concrete Trade Show recently held its annual ICF Builder Awards in Las Vegas, Nevada and Fox Blocks performed admirably, taking home multiple awards in 5 different categories.
OMAHA, Neb., March 1, 2019 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Below is a list of each of the awards Fox Blocks won at this event.
1. 2019 Unlimited Residential
The Orman Residence, which was built using the Fox Blocks ICF system, took first runner up in the 2019 Unlimited Residential Category. It features a complex design involving multiple ICF gables as well as two radius turrets with windows reaching 35 feet. Solar panels, a smart HVAC system, and High-efficiency windows were also included.

The Woodland estate took only 70 days to install the ICF system, despite being constructed during a Rocky Mountain Winter. It has 54 corners (non-standard angles included) a HERS rating of 46.
3. 2019 Heavy Commercial
The Grand Odyssey 8 Theater was completed in only 36 weeks. The Fox Blocks system was installed in a mere 38 days. It features 35' tall walls and was finished on budget and on time. Temperatures also hit -15 degrees Fahrenheit during construction.
4. 2019 Heavy Commercial
The Dominion Springs Plaza took 48 weeks to construct and just 45 days per building for the ICF installation. It has 5 separate buildings and used a phased construction process. This building also features octagonal towers and walls up to 24 feet high.

Discovery Elementary School in Arlington, Virginia took 56 weeks to build. The Fox Blocks system took 100 days to install and the building saves about $117,000 each year in cooling and heating costs. It received national publicity as well as Zero Energy Certification.
6. 2019 Specialty Application
Solomon Colors in Springfield, Illinois is an outdoor entertainment space which took 10 weeks to build. It took only 7 days to install the ICF system and the building features a gathering space for 50-75 people. It has a complex design with multiple corners and radius walls. The walls also received decorative finishes.

The Pie eyed Monk Brewery in Ontario, Canada is an addition to a micro-brewery. It took builders 42 weeks to finish, and the ICF system was installed in just 10 days. It features a 52-foot elevator shaft which was built with "one-sided" ICFs. It received a large amount of publicity in blogs, newspapers, and on TV.
8. 2019 Multifamily
Meadowbrook Village was built in 70 weeks, with the ICF system being installed in 150 days. It's a three-story apartment complex which features multiple 45-degree corners and ended up leading to additional projects as well.
9. 2019 Light Commercial
Located in Lubbock, Texas, Picoso's Mexican Kitchen took 36 weeks to build, with the ICF system being installed in just 40 days. It has multiple different wall heights, unusual corners, and many large openings. It was also built on a flood-prone site.
