DURHAM, N.C., Nov. 26, 2019 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Goodwill Community Foundation(GCF®) donated $100,000 to the Boys & Girls Clubs of Durham and Orange Counties (BGCDOC), North Carolina. This infusion of cash places the organization on a sound financial footing, allowing for program expansion and growth to benefit area youth. BGCDOC is relocating to a larger facility at 1010 Martin Luther King Jr Parkway, opening in January 2020 with the start of the school semester.
"The Boys & Girls Clubs of Durham and Orange Counties gives children an opportunity for a better life by giving them the essential tools for success at the time they are most vulnerable, during non school hours of the day. The donation is part of a GCF grant program that seeks out and contributes to community organizations that create opportunities for people across eastern North Carolina and the globe. The reach of this program is broad and includes organizations in nearly every corner of the world - The Place Of Possibilities in Aulander, NC; The Tammy Lynn Center in Raleigh, NC; The Huchuy Yachaq Association in Cusco, Peru; and The New Life Center in Zambia.
