WASHINGTON, Oct. 1, 2020 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Albert R. Wynn, Senior Director in the Government Policy & Law Practice at global law firm Greenberg Traurig, LLP, will participate in the 2020 Northeast Energy and Commerce Association's (NECA) Annual Fuels Conference on Sept. 30. Wynn will moderate the panel, "Perspectives on Municipal Gas Bans." Considering New England towns are passing natural gas bans; states are subsidizing investments in clean energy; the MA Attorney General wants to investigate the future of natural gas; and FERC is considering carbon pricing in wholesale electricity markets, the discussion will focus on the cost, reliability, societal implications, and sustainable pathways for creating a clean energy future in the northeast region.

While in the House, he served on the House Energy and Commerce Committee, most recently as Chairman of its Subcommittee on Environment and Hazardous Materials, and as a member of the Subcommittee on Energy and Air Quality. While on the Energy and Commerce Committee, Wynn also served on the Health and Telecommunications Subcommittees. He helped craft the Energy Independence and Security Act of 2007, in part, by adding a provision authorizing $10 billion in federal grants for an Energy Efficiency and Conservation Block Grant program to support city, county, and state initiatives for energy efficiency, conservation and renewable energy.
