Marina del Rey, California (PRWEB) September 06, 2013 -- Healthy Spot has been making waves in the pet retailer space since entering the market five years ago. Their expansion has continued with the opening of their Marina del Rey location one year ago. Healthy Spot has taken a new approach to how people shop and care for their “Spot”. At Healthy Spot, they care about the overall well-being, health, and happiness of all dogs (and cats) along with offering a variety of healthy products and range of services such as doggie daycare to award winning grooming.
Opening in Marina del Rey community last summer was an easy decision for Andrew Kim and Mark Boonnark, co-owners of Healthy Spot. This coastal Los Angeles neighborhood embodies the community aspect Healthy Spot seeks with every new location. "We are excited to have been part of the Marina del Rey and surrounding communities over the last year,” shared Kim. “We sincerely appreciate all the support from our neighbors and look forward to continuing to serve the community in the years ahead."
Not only hosting on-site events like monthly “Yappy Hours”, Healthy Spot can be frequently found at local farmer’s markets and other community events as well as hosting educational and training classes at their location. Taking their community involvement the extra mile, Healthy Spot closes its daycare every Sunday to open the space to local animal groups.
To celebrate this milestone, Healthy Spot is hosting a “Sunday Funday” event this Sunday at their Marina del Rey location. As with any of their “PAWty’s”, Healthy Spot has partnered to raise money for Tails of the City Animal Rescue and will be hosting a super adoption event that day as well.
There will be gift bags for the first 150 dogs, pet massages, food and product samples, family friendly crafts, raffle and silent auction items. Several of Healthy Spot’s Marina Square plaza neighbors such as Pete’s Coffee, Wahoo’s Fish Taco Marina del Rey, Craft Sushi and Noodles, Christine Valmy Salon, Bonaventura Gelato Lounge and Panera Bread will be offering specials and activities.
This free event takes place this Sunday, September 8th from 1pm-4pm at 4718 Lincoln Blvd., Marina del Rey, CA 90292.
