BOURBONNAIS and MCHENRY, Ill., July 11, 2022 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Heritage Woods of McHenry managed by Gardant Management Solutions, Inc. has been recognized as a 2022 Silver – Achievement in Quality Award recipient by the American Health Care Association and National Center for Assisted Living (AHCA/NCAL). Heritage Woods of McHenry is one of only three communities in the U.S. and the only assisted living community in Illinois to be receiving a 2022 Silver Award. The award is the second of three distinctions possible through the AHCA/NCAL National Quality Award Program, which recognizes providers across the nation that have demonstrated improved quality outcomes for staff, residents, and individuals with disabilities in long term and post-acute care.

Located in northern Illinois nearly 50 miles northwest of Chicago, Heritage Woods of McHenry features 100 private apartments for adults 65 and older. The community is certified to operate through the Illinois Supportive Living program so is approved to serve individuals on a Medicaid-waiver for assisted living.
The community provides a wonderful alternative to a nursing home. Residents benefit from living in an apartment that they can furnish and decorate to their taste. The apartments feature a kitchenette with microwave and refrigerator/freezer; spacious bathroom with shower, raised toilet, and grab-bars; individually controlled heating and air conditioning; and emergency alert system.
Staff is on-duty 24 hours a day, seven days a week to provide residents with personal assistance and help with medications. Support services such as three meals a day, housekeeping and laundry are included.
Residents also benefit from all the opportunities that are available to socialize with family, friends, and neighbors and to participate in social, recreational, educational, and wellness activities.
