ENCINITAS, Calif., Dec. 10, 2019 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Herman Cook Volkswagen of Encinitas, California, hosted the 2019 San Diego Vintage VW Christmas Cruise on Saturday, December 7, 2019, serving once again as the kick-off point for an event that featured around 40 Air Cooled Volkswagen models and over 250 donations for Toys for Tots.
This annual Christmastime tradition is a beloved one at Herman Cook Volkswagen, not just because of the gathering of classic VW models, but because of the impact it has on the community.
That impact comes in the form of the over 250 donations for the Toys for Tots Marine Corps Reserve Center near Miramar – donations that will help give the less fortunate children of the community something extra special this holiday season, and it's that sense of community that brings everyone together for the event year after year.
This year, the event welcomed over 100 people – including Herman Cook VW owner Dennis Cook, his staff and members of the San Diego Air Cooled VW Club led by Lee Hedges – and around 40 classic Volkswagen models.
Those models were decorated in the holiday spirit and then used to transport the donated toys in a cruise along the San Diego coastline that has to be seen to be believed.
