KINGSTON, Mass., May 7, 2019 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Unsightly vents are now disappearing across America. The newly patented Hide-A-Vent is making homes more beautiful every day.
Many vents don't function well, are unsightly, and get clogged with lint. Inventor Michael Heinrichs created a new vent design with not only better functionality, but the ability to hide the vent as well.
Hide-A-Vent can blend into any siding and camouflages the exterior vents that support the functionality needed for residential systems. It has a customizable cover that can be installed to any section of siding, including clapboard, shingles and vinyl.
After a quick and easy installation, a section of siding can be applied to the cover. The vent and matching piece of siding are used to create the illusion of continuous siding. Hide-A-Vent can be installed almost anywhere and reduces the normal design and build time of routing duct work to the rear of the house for traditional vents.
"For years on the job, I have seen countless homes with such beautiful exteriors, but there was always one aspect that stood out and not in a good way," explained Heinrichs, "We look forward to seeing the transformation of vents in homes across the country."
After spending over 30 years in kitchen and bath design and remodeling, Heinrichs was inspired to bring his eye for detail to the home's exterior. Vents serve an important role in allowing air or gas from appliances and fans to be discharged from the home but there is no reason for an unsightly vent or hood to be visible on the siding. Hide-A-Vent not only improves appearance, it can also reduce backdraft. This can decrease loss of heat or AC, as well as eliminate noise from rain and wind.
Models are available in two sizes. Model A disguises dryer vents and bathroom ceiling fans with a 4" round opening. Model B fits microwave hoods and most residential kitchen hoods with its 3.25" x 10.25" rectangular opening.
This product is now being used by homeowners, builders, contractors, architects and HVAC professionals. Hide-A-Vent replaces the typical three items required for a vent (vent, flashing, and block) with just one high quality product constructed of high-grade materials.
Hide-A-Vent is proudly produced in the USA and constructed of ABS plastic that can be mounted to exterior walls of any structure. Both models are readily available to the construction and design trades, with more information at http://www.hideavent.com. It is also available for purchase online through Home Depot.
