RALEIGH, N.C., Jan. 24, 2019 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- The Special Event Company is pleased to announce that Hunter Gray has been promoted to the role of Chief Strategy Officer and Creative Director. He has served as Creative Director with the company since 2010, where he oversees all of its clients' live production needs. In his new position as Chief Strategy Officer, he will further expand The Special Event Company into a live-communications partner for its custom productions across U.S. and international markets.
"Our organization has recently experienced tremendous growth, and we are now working with our clients to develop live-communications strategies for more engaging experiences and ways to strengthen messaging," said Sally Webb, CEO of The Special Event Company. "Hunter has the unique blend of creativity, production expertise and strategic thinking to take our company into the next phase of our evolution. He has been at my side for over a decade, and we are all excited for the opportunities his new leadership role will provide."
"Today's meeting and event organizers want interactivity and engagement among the audience, not just the movement of elements such as lights, fixtures and sets," said Gray. "I look forward to building new, immersive experiences for the participants to dynamically interact, brainstorm and collaborate with each other and the event space. In a live environment, conversation flows organically, people bond with peers, and that bonding extends to the product, mission and message. While technology is an efficient way to share information, face-to-face communication is still the best way to motivate people."
Mr. Gray brings more than 15 years of industry experience to his new role. Prior to joining The Special Event Company, he was an independent live-event designer and technical consultant and former managing director for Maestro Productions.
