Illumine8 Marketing & PR Completes Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Businesses Program

FREDERICK, Md., Feb. 04, 2019 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Illumine8 Marketing & PR of Frederick, Maryland, completes the prestigious Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Businesses program and will formally graduate in August 2019.

Over 540,000 small businesses are owned and operated in Maryland. Illumine8 will join just 167 businesses from the Baltimore area to complete this program since 2017, according to Aaron Moore, alumni manager of the 10,000 Small Businesses program at Johns Hopkins University.

This $500 million investment from Goldman Sachs and the Goldman Sachs Foundation helps "entrepreneurs create jobs and economic opportunity by providing access to education, capital, and business support services," according to the program's latest progress report. The Maryland program partners with Babson College, Bloomberg Philanthropies, and Baltimore higher education organizations, including Community College of Baltimore County, Johns Hopkins University, and Morgan State University.

The program offers an educational curriculum for small business management training; access to small business funding and capital via partnerships with Community Development Financial Institutions; and a professional network of business organizations, executive leaders of Goldman Sachs, and program alumni.

Illumine8 plans to use these tools and resources to take on a bigger role in the small to midsize business community, capitalize on growth opportunity, and provide further economic value.
