NEW YORK, April 30, 2020 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Jaisalmer Indian Craft Gin is pleased to share that they have been awarded with the Gold Medal accolade from The Fifty Best Awards 2020. TheFiftyBest.com is a digital guide to wines and spirits, featuring rated listings resulting from proprietary blind tastings as judged by spirits journalists, spirits professionals, spirit retailers, mixologists, spirits consultants and connoisseurs. Jaisalmer Gin is a part of Radico Khaitan's -- one of the largest Indian beverage alcohol companies -- portfolio, which also includes award-winning brand, Rampur Indian Single Malt Whisky.
Jaisalmer Gin is triple-distilled in a copper pot still in small batches at the Rampur Distillery, one of India's oldest distilleries, located in the foothills of the Himalayas. Sanjeev Banga, President of Radico Khaitan says, "We are delighted to receive a Gold Medal at the 2020 Fifty Best Awards. Our gin has a unique flavor profile that speaks to the Indian heritage of craftsmanship and quality."
The 43% ABV drink sources Indian botanicals from the four corners of the country, including India's famed Darjeeling green tea leaves, coriander, orange peel, cubeb pepper berries, lemongrass, and lemon peel and more. Derived from the ancient Indian knowledge on herbs, the botanicals beautifully release notes that complement each other.
The Fifty Best uses professional criteria to rate the spirits. The pre-qualified panel of judges blind-tasted the (46) gins and rated them individually on a 1-5 point scoring system with 5 being the highest. After tallying the scores, medals were awarded based on the judges' impressions. The final tasting notes can be found here.
Jaisalmer Indian Craft Gin is currently available in the U.S. with a suggested retail price of $49 for a 750 ml bottle. For more information on the product and current distribution information, please contact Alisha Zaveri or Andrew Quinzi at Colangelo & Partners.
