Stan Abrams
Abrams came to James Scott Farrin after working as assistant attorney general for the North Carolina Department of Justice where he represented the North Carolina Department of Transportation in condemnation litigation throughout the state. Abrams uses his considerable knowledge of the state's approach to eminent domain takings to lead the firm's eminent domain practice and help clients fight for just compensation from the state. He is also a member of the Million Dollar Advocates Forum.* He received a B.A. in Pre-Law at Bob Jones University and a J.D. from University of North Carolina School of Law.
Cristen Bartus
Bartus is a personal injury attorney who has been at the firm since 2012 advocating for clients' rights. Before joining the firm, she worked as a regulatory affairs contractor researching proper compliance by insurers, and she conducted legal research for cases arising under the Consumer Sales Practices Act. She shares her knowledge and interest in the law with others by volunteering to judge at Mock Trial events, both at the high school and college level. Bartus received a B.A. in Business Administration from the University of Toledo College of Business and a J.D. from University of Toledo College of Law.
Matthew Healey
Healey is a North Carolina State Bar Board Certified Specialist in Workers' Compensation law who joined the firm in 2015.
