Jim Ellis Chevrolet Helps Georgia Lottery Winner Source Sold-Out Dream Corvette

ATLANTA, Jan. 29, 2021 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Jim Ellis Chevrolet, a family-owned and operated car dealership in Atlanta, helped source a Corvette Stingray for Georgia lottery winner whose scratch-off earned him $250,000 in cash plus a new Corvette. Dennis Kahler struck big with the Georgia Lottery in December 2020 but ran into a predicament when lottery officials did not have a Corvette available for him. After Jim Ellis Chevrolet learned about Kahler's issue, they decided to take matters into their own hands.

It's a classic case of supply and demand. The all-new Corvette Stingray is one of the most in-demand cars on the market and many dealers do not have them in stock or are marking them up for tens of thousands of dollars over list price. Kahler, a former general sales manager at a car dealership, was on a mission to find his future Rapid Blue 2LT Z51 at a fair price. He approached different dealerships who offered him the Corvette but it either came with a price tag of $7,500 or more above MSRP or with a 9 to 12 month wait time.

Ralph Sorrentino, General Manager of Jim Ellis Chevrolet, learned about Kahler's public search to source a Corvette at sticker price through a social media post that recently went viral. Ralph and the team at Jim Ellis Chevrolet were put into contact with Kahler and said they'd be happy to set him up with an order at sticker price for a Rapid Blue Stingray 2LT with the Z51 performance package.

When asked why the dealership was not charging over MSRP like other dealerships, Sorrentino stated, "At Jim Ellis, you can truly expect the best and we wouldn't do that to our family members so we don't do that to our customers. Treat everyone like family – it's part of our company promise."

Kahler appreciated the gesture and customer service so much that he decided to give the dealership more business. In fact, he traded in his 2019 Silverado RST for a 2021 Silverado just days after meeting with Sorrentino.
Chevrolet enthusiasts know that a preorder is a must-do if they wish to get behind the wheel of this elusive vehicle. Jim Ellis Chevrolet not only provided Kahler with the vehicle at a fair price but will also have it available for him to pick up at their showroom as early as March.
