To be held at the Four Seasons Hotel in Miami, FL, on Thursday, October 24th, 2024, the Third Annual Advanced EB-5 Conference will feature speakers from around the country sharing ideas with like-minded professionals. The invite-only event promises to connect industry thought leaders and stakeholders from across the country so they can learn from one another and strategize for how to work toward permanent renewal of the Regional Center Program.
The EB-5 Immigrant Investor Program is a government initiative that allows foreign nationals to pursue permanent U.S. residency by making investments that create jobs and impact underserved areas. EB-5 has directed billions of dollars toward U.S. communities through direct investments and projects raising capital through the EB-5 Regional Center Program, which allows investors to pool investments for deployment in large-scale development projects.
Unfortunately, the Regional Center Program has always been a temporary program which requires frequent reauthorization in order to continue. The program is set to expire again in 2027. Immediate efforts will be needed to highlight the positive impacts of EB-5 over the years in order to convince Congress to reauthorize the program past the current sunset date. JTC and Saul Ewing are among those leading efforts to push for a permanent version of the program so it can continue delivering investment to communities in need with no cost to taxpayers.
