League of Minority Voters Creates National Coalition to Ensure All Voices Count in 2020 Election and Beyond; Hosts Virtual Voter Education Summit
On Wednesday, October 14, 2020, at 5:30 PM EST, the League of Minority Voters will officially celebrate this national launch by hosting a virtual voter education summit titled "A Critical Conversation: Voting in the 2020 Election and Elevating Diverse Voices."
WASHINGTON, Oct. 14, 2020 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Today, a nonpartisan group of community advocates, grassroots organizers, government officials, and business leaders announced the expansion of the League of Minority Voters, the country's first organization fully dedicated to further advancing minority voters' rights and opportunities by inspiring, educating, and empowering communities of color.
Originally founded in Portland, Oregon in 2007, and currently operating with chapters in Oregon, Washington, Maryland, North Carolina, and Nevada, the League is building on its success and taking its mission of empowering minority voters to the national electorate by establishing a national board of directors with roots in Washington, DC – the nation's capital.
