FREDERICK, Md., April 24, 2023 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- The Frederick Children's Chorus announced today that Lee Fuhr has officially resigned from her 37-year position as a founding member, Assistant Director, and Executive Director.
In her statement, Lee explained that she has accepted a position as the CEO of Monster Remodeling, a growing residential remodeling company in Fort Wayne, Indiana. Fort Wayne is a city currently experiencing unprecedented growth and revitalization and is excited to be part of the development taking place in the region. On a personal note, her next chapter will also include a role in a musical that she has always wanted to play; the Witch in Into the Woods at the Civic Theater. She will also be spending more time with her 4 children, all of whom have busy and successful performance schedules of their own.
Lee has had the pleasure of being a member of this organization almost her entire life, first as an original founding member in 1985, then as an Assistant Director beginning in 2004, and finally, as Executive Director beginning in 2014, for a combined total of 37 years. Over these years, she has seen the Chorus impact the lives of thousands of children and families. The music we perform brings hope, love, joy, empathy, and care to anyone who has the privilege to experience it.
Lee will never be completely gone from The Frederick Children's Chorus. As an alumna singer, she will be part of the Chorus family for life. She looks forward to participating as an audience member, donor, and cheerleader as the organization moves into its next chapter with a new Executive Director at the helm.
The Board of Directors at The Frederick Children's Chorus is currently interviewing candidates to fill Lee's position.
