The Reverend Dr. Michael E. Ellis is a native of Salisbury, North Carolina. Dr. Ellis is a graduate of Livingstone College in Salisbury, NC. He obtained a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology; and a Master of Divinity Degree from Hood Theological Seminary, Salisbury, N.C; and the Doctor of Ministry Degree from Drew University. He served as a pastor in the Western North Carolina Conference; the Western New York Conference; the Tennessee Conference and the New England Conference. Dr. Ellis is the Presiding Elder of Greensboro District/Piedmont Episcopal District; and the chair of the Religious/Liberal Studies Department at Livingstone College in Salisbury, NC. Dr. Ellis and his wife Sharlene have two children and one granddaughter.
