Collection for essays, poems and prose inspire readers to find courage and strength in God amid life's struggles
LOUISVILLE, Colo., Jan. 16, 2025 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Linda Stratton marks her debut in the publishing scene with the release of "Perseverance: The Art of Not Giving Up" (published by WestBow Press). This book is a collection of essays, poems, and personal reflections that share her 20-year journey of living with cystic fibrosis, caregiving for a mother with Alzheimer's, and leaning on her faith to overcome immense personal struggles.
Written as a cathartic outlet during some of the most difficult chapters of her life, this memoir captures the emotional, physical and spiritual obstacles Stratton faced along the way, and the unwavering faith that has guided her through it all. As she leads readers through her experiences, the author inspires them to find hope and strength in God's presence, no matter the challenges they face. This curated selection of relatable poems, personal stories, mixed with a little humor, cathartic thoughts, opinions and reflections, aims to serve as a reminder that perseverance is not just about pushing through — it is about surrendering to God's will, trusting his plans and finding peace in his presence.
"Life can be hard, one problem after another, but it doesn't have control us," Stratton states. "With God at the center of our lives all things are possible. All of our needs, wants and dreams can come to fruition through faith, a deeper relationship with God and time spent in His Word."
