Macedon Technologies Releases the Macedon Application Pipeline (MAP) Solution

RESTON, Va., Aug. 20, 2020 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- As part of the ongoing effort of Macedon Technologies to empower efficient Digital Transformation in the business community, they have developed and released a DevOps pipeline solution for the Appian Platform.
The MAP solution allows teams to manage their code effectively in a connected repository and deploy their changes through a configured tree of environments. The solution takes advantage of standard repository branching and merging functionality to allow developers to focus on development velocity with minimal overhead for deployment coordination. MAP also handles multiple applications and repositories, database scripts, environment-specific properties, and "hotfix" branches to accommodate urgent fixes outside of regular Agile iteration cycles.
"Code management and deployment have always been a challenge with Appian systems," says Colin Schoenfelder, Macedon's Director of Technology. "At Macedon, we have evolved many strategies for keeping track of objects changed through Agile iterations. As a team scales, these tend to take a large amount of management and overhead or can break down altogether." He continued, "We struggled to find a solution that would enable our DevOps to keep up with our teams' high development velocities, so we decided to create one."

The new Macedon Application Pipeline Solution joins a collection of shared components that Macedon has published to the Appian AppMarket.
