Real Estate Broker Margaret Vierra Helping Soles4Souls Wear Out Poverty
Morgan Hill, CA (PRWEB) September 14, 2016 -- EXIT Realty Keystone Broker Margaret Vierra is proud to announce her offices, located at 25 West 1st Street in Morgan Hill, CA, and 940 Saratoga Avenue, Suite 100, in San Jose, CA, are now official Soles4Souls drop-off locations. EXIT Realty Keystone will be providing the donated shoes to local charities in the South County and San Jose areas. Furthermore, two of its top-producing agents, Edgar Meneses and Juan Carlos Bustillos, will be distributing some of the donated shoes to their hometowns in Mexico and Bolivia. Additionally, Connie Martin, another top agent in the office, will be distributing shoes on a local level via her church’s weekly Free Meals for the Homeless program.
“I strongly encourage members of the community to stop by and drop off pairs of new or gently worn shoes that will benefit a person in need. As one of 13 children, many of whom grew up in the Azores, Portugal, we only had donated shoes,” said Vierra. “My siblings often went to school barefoot because there just wasn’t any money to purchase shoes. They were happy to have one pair of shoes to wear to church, but went barefoot the rest of the week. This small but important item can make all the difference in a person’s life; be it a school child or an adult entering the workforce.”
Soles4Souls aims is to eradicate extreme poverty by 2050. Children every day are prevented from attending school and adults are unable to work as walking becomes unbearable, which perpetuates the cycle of poverty. To date, Soles4Souls has collected and distributed more than 26 million pairs of shoes to those in need in 127 countries around the world and all 50 states in the U.S.
