Company adds top talent to aggressively combat $2 trillion global counterfeiting problem with cutting-edge technology; Brand protection veteran Charlie Abrahams becomes a MarqVision advisor while industry leaders Jake Morgan, Joo Hyung (Rino) Lee, Joseph Yang, and Christina Kim join executive team
LOS ANGELES, Jan. 22, 2025 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- MarqVision, the leader in online brand protection, today announced the general availability of its game-changing Conversational Assistant product within its Marq AI suite. Conversational Assistant uses generative AI to identify counterfeit transactions through social media messages. After rigorous beta testing and ongoing enhancements, Conversational Assistant can now detect fakes after a seller is engaged in under a minute with greater than 99% accuracy, enabling brands to take immediate action to shut down counterfeiters infiltrating social media. The product is now available directly through customers' Marq AI dashboard.
Conversational Assistant debuts as global counterfeiting becomes a $2 trillion problem for brands with no signs of slowing down. One of the ways counterfeit goods have been able to penetrate the market at such an alarmingly high rate has been through social media messages– a strategy that's proven difficult for brands to stop. As this new breed of conversational commerce has taken hold, there has been a significant increase in unmonitored transactions hidden within social media messages.
With Marq AI's Conversational Assistant, however, MarqVision applies generative AI and proprietary technology to detect which messages are selling counterfeits across multiple languages and swiftly gathers the evidence that brands need for enforcement. No other brand protection platform can provide this level of detection at scale with such a high degree of accuracy.
"With Conversational Assistant, we are giving brands superpowers against counterfeiters. This product roots out one of the stealthiest tactics of bad actors so that they can be shut down quickly," said Mark Lee, CEO and co-founder of MarqVision. "This is one of many advancements to come from MarqVision. We've added several exceptional leaders to our team to further accelerate our innovation initiatives, underscoring our deep commitment to protect brands' most valuable assets– their IP and their reputational capital."

In addition to Conversational Assistant, MarqVision also announced that well-known brand protection expert Charlie Abrahams has become an advisor to the company. As one of the first people involved in Online Brand Protection, Abrahams has experienced the growth, transformation, and need for new solutions in the space. But MarqVision is different," said Abrahams. "With this stellar team, which includes a number of my former colleagues, we possess the experience and vision to bring about huge changes in the market. This will be achieved through the rapid deployment of innovative technology, like Conversational Assistant, combined with detailed knowledge and skills in a workforce that is committed to achieving excellence.
