PETAH TIKVA, Israel, August 27, 2018 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Minerva Labs, announced today that it has achieved technical integration of its Anti-Evasion Platform with McAfee ePolicy Orchestrator™(ePO), enabling common customers to gain improved endpoint protection against both evasive and non-evasive malware from ever-evolving cyber threats.
As a member of the McAfee Security Innovation Alliance™, Minerva plays a critical role in the program's mission to accelerate the development of interoperable security products and to simplify the integration of these products within complex customer environments, bringing better value and more protection against the growing threat landscape to joint customers. Through this partnership, Minerva and McAfee address a rising industry need to provide better endpoint prevention and more easily remediate compromised systems.
Minerva's Anti-Evasion Platform deceives malware about its environment, preventing the compromise by causing malware to disarm itself when it attempts to take evasive actions. When Minerva is deployed alongside McAfee Endpoint Security, adversaries are forced to pick their poison. Either they implement evasive tactics and get stopped by Minerva, or use non-evasive techniques and McAfee security mechanisms will intervene.
Minerva's integration with ePO allows McAfee customers to deploy and operate Minerva's Anti-Evasion Platform without operational burdens often associated with standalone agents. Minerva can be deployed via McAfee ePO software for all Microsoft Windows operation systems (Windows XP or above, including servers) across the enterprise. McAfee customers can also use ePO to centrally monitor and feed new threat intelligence of all evasive threats prevented by Minerva's Anti-Evasion Platform.
"McAfee Endpoint Security, augmented with Minerva's Anti-Evasion Platform deliver significantly broader threat coverage, while boosting endpoint performance", said Lenny Zeltser, VP Products at Minerva Labs. The passive nature of Minerva's technology allows customers to benefit from its protection without endpoint performance concerns.
"By implementing products that are compatible with McAfee security solutions, our common customers experience faster deployment times and reduced costs," said D.J. Long, vice president, strategic business development, McAfee. "Security should be easy to manage, so McAfee has taken the steps needed to open up its security risk management architecture and provide customers with the tools to easily manage their multi-vendor security environments. The result is greater protection, reduced risk and increased compliance."
