PALM BEACH GARDENS, Fla., Oct. 19, 2020 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- The Country Club at Mirasol has named USPTA Elite Tennis Professional Alan Bohane as its newest Head Tennis Professional, following a nationwide search.

In his 18 months as a coach at Mirasol, Alan has proven to be a capable leader and we look forward to the fresh perspective he will bring to our already dynamic tennis program. Competitive and social players alike will benefit from his promotion."
Alan said, "I am thrilled to have been appointed the new head tennis professional at Mirasol. Along with the talented team we already have in place, I am looking forward to continuing the standard of excellence to which our membership is accustomed, in addition to enhancing our existing tennis experience." Alan's responsibilities as Head Professional will include staff and competitive team management, and he will oversee the instructional programs, court maintenance, and events. He will host his first event as head professional, a twilight member mixer, at Mirasol on November 4.
Alan served as tennis director at the Middlesex Club in Connecticut for four seasons and was a professional at The Breakers in Palm Beach for 10 seasons. He played his freshman college year for the #1 ranked UCLA team before transferring to Columbia University where he earned his bachelor's degree in psychology with a minor in economics. During his time at Columbia, he played in the top singles and doubles positions. In his final year as a junior player Alan ranked in the top 15 nationally with wins over former ATP tour professionals Andy Roddick and Mardy Fish.
Working alongside Alan will be Kristine Mendivil, who has been promoted from Tennis Concierge to Tennis Operations Manager. Kristine has been a key player in the development and growth of Mirasol's tennis program over the past 9 years and her knowledge of the program will be further utilized to manage the desk staff, concierge services, retail operations, and events in order to streamline the member experience.
