The first self-driven course in a new series of Business Sprints provides a unique, practical framework addressing challenges across all business functions
CAMBRIDGE, Mass., May 2, 2023 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- MIT Sloan Executive Education has announced "Algorithmic Business Thinking Sprint (ABTS)," the first course in its new line of Business Sprint offerings.
Business Sprints are six-hour, self-driven courses that can be completed any time over a 30-day period, providing the opportunity for professional development around any schedule.
Led by MIT Sloan Executive Education Faculty Director Paul McDonagh-Smith, this course introduces the concept of Algorithmic Business Thinking—a framework for understanding the key principles of algorithms, code, and data.
Participants will gain a methodology for applying those principles across role and departments, from products and service to business functions like finance, sales, and marketing. "The ABT framework marks a radical rethinking of how technology, people, and processes combine to create and deliver value," says McDonagh-Smith.
"Regardless of whether you are currently in a technical or non-technical function, if you are looking to support your organization's digital transformation or want to orient yourself to key principles of the digital economy, this course is for you."
ABTS is designed to help all levels of management act as translators between computer science and business functions in their organization. It is particularly beneficial to those responsible for, or participating in, the design and delivery of AI and other transformative technology initiatives in any industry.
This course is also highly practical for chief learning officers and senior HR leaders and managers responsible for people strategies in their organization.
Upon successful completion of the course, participants will earn a certificate of course completion from MIT Sloan Executive Education.
