SEATTLE, July 2, 2018 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Roxy, the company behind the speech-enabled device built just for hotels has announced a partnership with MENU, which provides a mobile food ordering service designed to integrate with hotels' and restaurants' existing Point of Sale (POS) systems.
Now instead of going back and forth on the phone clarifying a room service order with the hotel, guests can browse the menu directly on the Roxy device and place orders through it. The menu is automatically updated and orders are automatically dispatched directly to the restaurant using MENU's broad assortment of POS integrations. To top it all off, a recent study by Bloomberg shows that when ordering with touch interfaces, customers typically spend 20% more.
"We have found that Roxy's display is immensely useful for providing visual feedback in addition to Roxy's voice responses. Working with MENU enables us to show beautiful, up-to-date hotel restaurant menus seamlessly," states Cam Urban, CEO of Roxy.
MENU is currently live in dozens of hotels and restaurants across the globe. With the Roxy integration, MENU will be able to expand directly into hotel rooms. Guests will not need to download any apps or visit any websites on their personal device; they will be able to place orders directly on Roxy.
"This is a natural partnership for us." states Marlon Koch, CTO of MENU. "MENU is all about enabling guest to have an optimal order experience. The partnership with Roxy extends MENU's features by enabling easy ordering for hotel guests by just saying 'show me the menu'."
Once orders are placed on Roxy devices they're directly routed into the hotel's POS system, no manual entry needed. For hotels, this saves staff's time, and it also means that they will no longer have to print new menus or compendiums when the hotel restaurant and room service menus change. Because MENU integrates directly with POS systems, any change there will be reflected in rooms automatically.
