NEW YORK, Feb. 5, 2019 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Aurelia Marcelli Uriati, the author of "The Magic Ceiling," was born in Isola del Liri, Lazio, Italy. She brought with her a love for her homeland, as well as the gift of storytelling. Pompea Uriati Imondi, born in Providence, Rhode Island, inherited her mother's love of creation and became an artist. Together, they teamed up to translate on of Mrs. Uriati's stories from Italian into English—a story which is accompanied by original illustrations created by Mrs. Imondi.
Published by New York City-based Page Publishing, "The Magic Ceiling" is a children's story that teaches of the celestial bodies and natural elemental cycles.
The story follows two sisters, Sabrina and Marina, who are very fond of decorative stars that they place on the ceiling in their bedrooms. Each night, they are more enchanted by the stars until their mother adds to a crescent moon and a sun to their starry collection. To the children's amazement, the sun and moon enter into a conversation, arguing over whose purposes are more essential, all the while explaining in an easy to understand fashion, the influence these bodies have on the Earth.
Anyone looking for an easier way to explain natural sciences to children, or for anyone who wants to be transported to the Northern Italian countryside and get lost in the stars, can purchase "The Magic Ceiling" at bookstores everywhere, or online at the Apple iTunes store, Amazon, Google Play or Barnes and Noble.
