Globalstar's CEO Dr. Paul Jacobs to discuss "Navigating the Future of NTN: Evolution In Satellite Communications," at annual awards luncheon.
MCLEAN, Va., Feb. 25, 2025 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- The Mobile Satellite Users Association (MSUA), a global not-for-profit focused on amplifying the voice of the millions of users of satellite services for mobile communication, navigation, and safety, announces the finalists for the 2025 Satellite Mobile Innovation Awards. The award winners will be announced at a luncheon during SATELLITE 2025 that will feature keynote speaker Dr. Paul Jacobs, CEO of Globalstar, and will include a fireside chat between Chris Quilty, Co-CEO and Founder of Quilty Space and Barbee Ponder, General Counsel and Vice President Regulatory Affairs at Globalstar. The luncheon will be held March 11 during the SATELLITE 2025 Conference in Washington, D.C.
"The 2025 Satellite Mobile Innovation Awards recognizes advances in satellite systems and solutions that occurred in 2024. Prominent among those advances were both direct-to-device satellite communications to smartphones and the emergence of non-terrestrial network technology," said Roger Lanctot, President of MSUA. "The two Globalstar contributors at the awards luncheon will address both the standards-setting and regulatory implications of evolving non-terrestrial network and direct-to-device communications."
