Oak Cliff Chamber of Commerce presented Neighborhood Credit Union with the 2022 Business of the Year Award at the Spotlighting the Cliff Reception.
DALLAS, March 21, 2023 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Last month, Neighborhood Credit Union's Oak Cliff branch, located at 650 Fort Worth Avenue, was awarded the 2022 Business of the Year at the annual Spotlighting the Cliff Awards event.
According to the official event page, Spotlighting the Cliff is an annual event designed to honor and appreciate community leaders who highlight a spirit of excellence. Hosted by the Oak Cliff Chamber of Commerce, its goal is to let community leaders know that their efforts are seen and to inspire all within the Oak Cliff community.
Nominations and awards are determined based on public votes, and winners were announced in person at the Spotlighting the Cliff reception. Other categories were Event of the Year, Public Servant of the Year, New Business of the Year, Development of the Year, and President's Award.
Neighborhood Credit Union has a long history within the Oak Cliff neighborhood. After several decades within the Oak Cliff community, the credit union closed the doors to its branch in December 2020, only to return in October 2022 at a new and improved location mere blocks away from where the original credit union headquarters once stood.
