The International Association of Registered Financial Consultants (IARFC®) announces the inception of the Master Registered Financial Specialist designation for qualified financial consultants in the Hong Kong/Macau Chapter. According to Dr. Teresa So, RFC®, IARFC Chairman Hong Kong/Macau, current members must arm themselves with advanced knowledge, in addition to the basics to stay professional and competitive.
MIDDLETOWN, Ohio, Jan. 30, 2023 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Under the top-up curriculum titled, "Executive Certificate in Contemporary Financial Planning", the MRFS training will include "Trust" and "Fintech". Nowadays, among Financial Consultants' most needed knowledge in the professional practice, "Trust" is a popular tool legally accepted for wealth succession usually with tax advantages. "Fintech" facilitates sales completion with efficiency and accuracy in the modern world, where financial products and services are frequently not sold in-person.
The Joint Program Organizer The Hang Seng University of Hong Kong, that will be offering the training is a non-profit private university, with a wide range of undergraduate and post graduate degree programs. This certificate course is offered jointly by the IARFC Hong Kong and Macau Center and the School of Business of HSUHK. This award bearing program will be taught by experienced trainers from the industry as well as academia.
The MRFS is supported by the Hong Kong InsurTech Association. According to Mr. Alex Wan, RFC® Founder, the MRFS is a logical step-up after the Registered Financial Consultant (RFC®). "This step is not just a trendy development, but rather a matter of sustainability as core competence," explains Wan. "It's continuing education as a lifelong learning process that definitely equips members for the endless pursuit of competitiveness."
Dr. Thomas Man, Associate Dean of HSUHK¬, School of Business, was instrumental in getting the MRFS course approved. His role was to facilitate the approval process by working closely with various parties involved, including the Course Coordinator, School Board, and the Continuing Education Committee. He further acknowledges that "by collaborating with the IARFC, we believe it is not just about contributing to the profession through the expertise of our faculty members, who consists of both doctorate qualified academics and professional recognized practitioners, it is also about learning the best practice in the workplace so that we can enable our students to become global citizens and reach their potential as tomorrow's business leaders."
Dr. So will spearhead the project visibility to the current members in the Hong Kong/Macau Chapter. She firmly believes that "the Executive Certificate in Contemporary Financial Planning program provided by School of Business, The Hang Seng University of Hong Kong enhances the professionalism of RFC qualifiers by enriching their knowledge in 'Trust' and 'FinTech', both indispensable elements in modern Financial Planning. RFC qualifiers having completed the program are eligible for the advancement to the MRFS professional designation, denoting their escalated level of competence."
