The 100% recycled PVC landscape edging is used to retain knot garden designs. Knot gardens are symmetrical formal garden layouts based on the style of a knotted rope. They are usually based on square patterns to create pure symmetry. Once installed, the edging remains unseen and keeps plants, decorative glass, and other materials in place.
Landscape Designer Kelly Mayo, owner of The Enchanted Gardener in Iowa City, Iowa, created a knot garden for a wedding venue based on Moroccan stain glass. The garden design required durable, flexible edging to isolate various glass colors from one another in crisp lines. The edging also needed to be sturdy enough to handle slightly raised garden beds and retain circular exclusions, and round stepping stones in a cement pour populated with moss.
