Xulon Press presents an eye-opening perspective for all Christians to know; a reminder that they are here to serve God, not man.
JACKSONVILLE, Fla., April 25, 2023 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Author Neville Lyons presents a much-needed exploration for anyone who has faced or is currently challenged with un-Christian like wrong-doings by supposed church leaders in Religious Abuse Through Opened Eyes: Lies, False Teachings, Greed, and Cultish Doctrines ($16.49, paperback, 9781662872969; $7.99, e-book, 9781662872983).
Lyons penned this thought-provoking read for anyone caught up in religious abuse. He defines these misgivings as mind control, brainwashing, greed, abuse of power, fear tactics, lies, sexual misconduct, and mental and emotional abuse. He aims to open the eyes of all Christians participating in any religious institutions using the Bible to fill their pockets, especially mega-churches, that preach and teach falsehoods.
Lyons explains to readers that these falsehoods have been the direct downfall of many Christians, thereby ruining lives and poisoning functional relationships. The author authoritatively demonstrates how wrong it is for any spiritual leader to declare that certain friends and family members should not be fellowshipped. The goal of his informative and refreshing teaching is for all to comprehend that one should serve God, not man.
When asked what inspired the author to write this book, Lyons said, "My personal experience. It is my wish that people will understand and recognize who their God really is."
Neville Lyons received a Master of Science degree in Information Technology and taught college for approximately fifteen years. Over the past forty-two years, he has held many different positions as a church member. Lyons pastored a church for approximately five years and has been an assistant pastor for about six. His story began in Jamaica, immigrated to England, and landed in the USA. Having lived in several countries, he takes interest in meeting new people and learning about their country of origin. He believes that knowing one's culture provides a better understanding and fosters respect. Though not a native of this great country, he appreciates the diversity and freedom that this nation offers (having served in the U.S. Army). Coming from humble beginnings, he is grateful for what God has blessed him with. God blessed him with a beautiful wife, three beautiful daughters, and five granddaughters. He loves hanging around with his grandchildren and playing "monsters" with them. He is a guitar player and enjoys playing gospel, jazz, country and blues. He's a fan of the Kansas City Chiefs and the Miami Heat.
