TINLEY PARK, Ill., April 18, 2023 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Payroc WorldAccess, LLC ("Payroc"), a people-first payment processing company, has appointed John Clarke as Chief Experience Officer. The appointment accelerates Payroc's continued commitment to elevating and refining the user experience within payments.
As Chief Experience Officer, Clarke will direct and define Payroc's customer experience (CX) strategy around the customer lifecycle to deliver differentiated brand experiences that build loyalty and advocacy. Clarke will continue to report to Casey Conley, Chief Product Officer.
"The role focuses on enhancing the experience of Payroc's community of Partners – our Distribution Channels, Referral Channels, ISVs, and Payment Facilitators," Clarke said of his promotion. "It's to advance our mission of building a world-class partner community through robust payment technology and service. We want to be the go-to payment processor for all partners."
A revered payments veteran, Clarke has dedicated his 30-year career to examining payment transactions and imagining technological advancements that make them quick and frictionless. Clarke has achieved several significant firsts within the payments industry, including developing the first automated Dynamic Currency Conversion (DCC) solution, performing the first Euro transaction for Visa, and developing the first iPhone Payment App in Europe.
Clarke was one of the founders of Flexicom, an early innovator in Integrated Payments, in 1993. He held the role of CTO in Flexicom, responsible for all Product Strategy and Innovation, as well as Product Delivery, until the purchase of Flexicom by Elavon Merchant Services in 2004.
Clarke subsequently co-founded Worldnet in 2008 as Chief Innovation Officer. During his tenure, he steered Worldnet to become one of the leading providers of omnichannel payment solutions. Clarke was named CEO in 2018 and later negotiated the acquisition of Worldnet by Payroc in 2022. During this period, the president of Payroc, Adam Oberman, gained a more in-depth understanding of Clarke's skillset.
"John has an unwavering passion for not only the payments industry but also for people. During the acquisition process, we saw his dedication to clients and problem-solving first-hand," said Oberman, "We look forward to seeing how his payments expertise, commitment to innovation, and his mind for others transform the user experience within the organization."
With his tenured background in customer service, payments technology, and software innovation, Clarke has set his sights on creating a partner experience within Payroc that cannot be easily duplicated in the market.
