Bonnie the bandicoot moved into Steve's home while hers dries out and tries to outwit Wally the bulldog as she decides to go home
SYDNEY, March 1, 2023 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- There are many marsupials indigenous to Australia that Peter Alway believes are not often thought of. He decided to write about them and have chosen the bandicoot for his story as he now releases "Bonnie The Bandicoot" (published by Xlibris AU).
Bonnie is a bandicoot who lives in a log right on the edge of a river. It rained so hard that the river rose and flooded her home. She decides that she will move into Steve's home while hers dries out. She lives there undetected until she bumps over a bottle making a lot of noise. Wally the bulldog investigates the noise but cannot find Bonnie. The risk is increasing so Bonnie decides to go home. Will she outwit Wally?
An excerpt from the book reads:
It is almost always nice to be going home and Bonnie's home was now cosy and dry.
Ahhhhh…
"In this book, Bonnie is a likable character who comes to sensible conclusions. With no overt violence but with excitement," Alway says. He adds, "Biodiversity is important for the world and our successful continuation. Bandicoots are intelligent and interesting members of our world."
When asked what he wants readers to take away from the book, he answered, "Adverse things happen. They have to be solved as well and nonviolently as possible." Visit https://www.xlibris.com/en-au/bookstore/bookdetails/847426-bonnie-the-bandicoot to purchase a copy.
