SAN RAFAEL, Calif., Feb. 25, 2020 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- The Nike Volleyball Camp at Sacred Heart University saw over 450 girls cross their courts last year and hope to help more during this upcoming camp season. Head Coach, Rob Machan, and Associate Head Coach, Kim Roleder, will continue to direct all of the programs at Sacred Heart University.
The Pioneers are coming off of an excellent season where they recently took the NEC Conference Championship title, made an appearance in the NCAA Tournament, as well as won the NEC Coach of the Year award. In the past 8 years, the Pioneers have appeared in 5 conference championships and captured 3 titles. Feeding off of their achievements, Machan and Roleder plan to use the high energy and competitive spirit during their camps this summer.
"We are extremely excited to be running the camps again for our 12th year," exclaims Machan. "We just finished off an amazing season and we want to use the momentum this summer by helping more players reach their potential in the sport."
This upcoming summer will feature the normal Advanced, Positional Specialty, and All Skills programs that run every year. However, this summer the All Skills program has added an overnight option in addition to the day option.
The Advanced program will be open to girls, ages 14-18, and will offer two sessions that campers can choose from. Here, players can learn from the Pioneers' volleyball staff in an intense and challenging setting.
Both the Position Specialty and All Skills programs will be open to girls, ages 10-18, of all ability levels. The Position Specialty will allow players to hone their skills in a set position on the court, while the All Skills Camp will focus on all aspects of volleyball and the fundamentals.
