Pramod Kunju's Top 2 priorities will be Campus Safety and Fiscal Responsibility.
IRVINE, Calif., Oct. 11, 2022 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Mr. Pramod Kunju has today publicly announced his candidature for the position of Trustee with the South Orange County Community College Board of Trustees which will hold an election to the position on November 8th.
The campaign to elect Mr. Kunju is based on the confidence that the experience & expertise he has acquired while holding Leadership Positions with a number of Non-Profit Organizations will prove to be an immense asset while serving on the Board of Trustees. These positions include:
- Executive Board Member, National Diversity Coalition (NDC)
- Board Member & Past President, Asian Business Association, Orange County (ABAOC)
- Design Thinking Advisory Board Member University of California, Riverside
The roles that he has served till now and continues to serve, have added to Mr. Kunju's understanding of the unique challenges which Orange County's communities face, specifically in areas where they don't have any existing support system or guidance.
The fact that he himself had once been in the same shoes when he immigrated to America from India to pursue his hopes and dreams, has helped him guide individuals in their ambitions to get their own startup or small business going.
Apart from his work with small businesses and other non-profit community assistance roles, Mr. Kunju also has a solid background in Entrepreneurship & Technology. He founded Nakunj Inc, in 2004, with a focus on Data Analytics & AI Consulting, which has since then grown into a company that has seen a great deal of success.
Having come from a family with modest means, Mr. Kunju embraced the principles of prudent financial management early on. After immigrating to America as a young man who hoped to one day achieve the American Dream, he made sure that he was self-reliant & was able to fund further education and later his own business, without dependence on debt.
After being financially prudent all his life, Mr. Kunju wants to apply the same practice of fiscally responsible spending to the Community Colleges of this District.
Being a trained Criminology specialist, Mr. Kunju has been recognized for his research work with an award from the University of California, Irvine. Given his experience & recognized work in the field, Mr. Kunju will work with other Trustees to outline a clear strategy that can tackle the issue of Campus Security so an environment of excellence in learning and steady individual growth can truly be created.
